LOCAL RULES

1.      OUT OF BOUNDS (RULE 27-1)

(a) Beyond all hedges, fences, walls and white stakes defining the boundaries of the Course.

(b) Internal: On the left of the 18th hole, between the 18th and 1st fairways.

(c) Clubhouse area, Practice Putting Green and Car Park.

2.  GROUND UNDER REPAIR (GUR) is defined by  white lines. The ball MUST be dropped, without  penalty, within one club-length of and not nearer  the hole, than the nearest point of relief.

3.      WATER HAZARDS (RULE 26)

Water Hazards/Lateral
Water Hazards are defined by yellow stakes/red stakes and/or yellow/red lines.

4.      INTEGRAL PARTS OF THE COURSE

(a) Walls, fences, stakes and railings defining out of bounds

(b) Walls on left and right of approaches to 5th and 15th greens 

(c) Tee boxes

(d) Fences to the left and behind 13th green, fence in hazard near 6th

(e) Winter Greens when not marked as GUR

(f) Artificial liners on base of  bunkers.

5.      IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS

Relief from interference by an Immovable Obstruction may be taken under Rule 24-2.

Examples include but are not limited to:

All prepared roads/pathways, sprinkler heads, manhole/drain covers, distance markers, discs on fairways, bell posts, artificial tees/mats, the white boundary stakes on the left of the first hole when playing any hole other than the 18th hole.

If a ball lies through the green and an Immovable Obstruction on or within two club-lengths of the putting green intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player MAY take relief as follows:

The ball must be lifted and dropped at the nearest point to where the ball lay that

 (a) is not nearer the hole,

 (b) avoids intervention and

 (c) is not in a hazard or on a putting green.

If the player’s ball lies on the putting green and an Immovable Obstruction within two club-lengths of the putting green intervenes on his line of putt, the player may take relief as follows:

The ball must be lifted and placed at the nearest point to where the ball lay that

 (a) is not nearer the hole,

 (b) avoids intervention and

 (c) is not in a hazard. The ball may be cleaned when lifted.

6.      STONES IN BUNKERS are movable obstructions (Rule 24-1 applies).

7.      Protection of Trees Identified by Wooden Stakes

If such a tree interferes with a player’s stance or area of intended swing, the ball MUST be lifted, without penalty, and dropped within one club-length of and not nearer the hole than the nearest point of relief.

8.      DISTANCE MEASUREMENT

For all play at this course, a player may obtain distance information by use of a distance-measuring device. (Note under Rule 14-3).

9.      PENALTY FOR BREACH OF LOCAL RULE

Stroke play-Two strokes;

Match play-Loss of hole.
