Fitzgibbon Cup 2009

The Fitzgibbon Cup, which is a non GUI event, was first introduced some years ago by Elm Park Golf Club as a precursor to the Barton Cup for the participating clubs. Participation is by invitation.

The format is Men’s Foursomes Matchplay played off scratch, with a minimum combined handicap of 14. No shots are given or taken. 5 Pairs per team played on a home and away basis with all 5 pairs playing at the same venue.

There are 12 participating clubs in four pools, as follows:

Pool A – Elm Park, Woodbrook, Foxrock.
Pool B – Glen of the Downs, Killiney Bray.
Pool C – Charlesland, Greystones, Powerscourt.
Pool D – Old Conna, Dun Laoghaire, Delgany.
